Hardness Testing - Rockwell, Brinell, Superficial Rockwell and Vickers

Applied Technical Services has the capabilities to meet all our clients’ hardness testing needs.  With our well-equipped Hardness Testing Lab at ATS is able to determine hardness on many different scales.  These scales include Brinell, Rockwell, Superficial Rockwell, Webster and Barcol hardness.  ATS also has the capabilities to perform microhardness testing using Knoop and Vickers scales.  Examples of items that can be tested range from ballistic shield panels to small springs. Applied Technical Services uses many common standards including ASTM E10, E18, A370, E 384, E92, A956, A370, B557, EN 10002, 1043-1, and 1043-2. Our employees are constantly receiving training on the latest Quality Standards ensuring that clients receive the most accurate results.

Strain Gage Testing and Strain Measurements

Applied Technical Services can measure the stress in an object using our strain gage resources.  Strain gages can be applied to numerous items to determine the intensity of the strain on that object as they are loaded.  ATS has worked with many companies to determine strain in a variety of objects such as railroads, aerospace and automotive components and many types of buildings. ATS travels nationally and internationally to perform inspections. We arrive on time prepared with the right equipment, the right standards and everything needed to get the job done right.
